The parking lot you should use to get to the meeting point is the Friedrichsau Parking Lot in Ulm. Parking is usually free. An alternative parking lot is the P+R Residential Park in Ulm.
We ask participants who are not staying at the parking lot to use the alternative parking lot.
The main train station is a 15-minute tram ride or a 40-minute walk away. Tram line 1 towards Böfingen departs from the main train station every 10 minutes, and you need to get off at the Donaustadion stop (not Donauhalle).
The route is about 2 km long and can easily be completed in a maximum of 2 hours. We will start at 2:30 p.m. and take group photos at three locations: at Fort Friedrichsau (as last time), at the footbridge on the Danube riverbank, and at the zoo near the pasture.
... We'll take our first group photo at Fort Friedrichsau. The fort is a particularly beautiful spot in spring. Shortly after, we'll take our first break at the water playground, which also offers some great photo opportunities, as well as climbing and seating options.
Afterwards, we'll head to the footbridge on the Danube riverbank, where we'll take a large group photo. Then we'll continue through the Friedrichsau park towards the zoo. Our next break will be at a meadow. Anyone interested can take some more photos there. The final part of the route takes us past the zoo to the Wohnpark playground. The parking lot where we started is right nearby. Therefore, some of you can go back to your car earlier, and those who want to can stay a little longer at the playground.
Food?
After the walk, we'll go to the Hundskomödie restaurant in Ulm for dinner. Please RSVP by 8 pm on April 12th so we can inform the restaurant of the final number of participants in time. Please do not cancel your dinner reservation on the day of the walk. In the past, the restaurant had prepared a lot of food that was then no longer needed. Thank you!
